The Taskboard

Written by Hubert

The Taskboard gives you an overview of all tasks due on a selected day, and lets you switch between dates. Sweeply has three task types: Housekeeping, Issues, and General tasks.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open Taskboard from the left sidebar to see all tasks due today.

2. To create a new task, click New Task in the top-right corner. You can create a General task with a mandatory due date, and assign it to a user either when you create it or later when it's due.

Example:

Name: Baby crib

Due date: October 2nd

Unit: Select the unit the task belongs to — in this case, room 101.

Assign users: Choose one or more staff to make responsible for the task.

3. The task now appears on the Taskboard alongside all other tasks due that day.

Switch between days by clicking the date on the calendar.

More options on the Taskboard

Complete / re-open tasks

  • Hover over a task and select Complete task to mark it done.

  • If a task is completed, select Uncomplete to set it back to unresolved.

Change due date

Open a task, or hover over it, to change its due date.

Priority

A task can be marked as a priority, which pins it to the top with a red exclamation mark in the corner.

In the Sweeply mobile app

You can assign general tasks to specific team members so everyone knows what they need to do each day.

Assigning staff

When creating a task, assign one or more team members to it. Choose a user from the list and save.

Once assigned, the task appears in that person's app under My Tasks, giving them a clear overview of everything due that day.

To complete a task on your phone, open it and tap the icon in the top-left corner. You can also mark it as a priority, edit it, reassign it, or delete it if it's no longer needed.

To create a new task from the mobile app:

  1. Open the app and go to My Tasks.

  2. Tap the red + button at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Enter the task details — title, due date, priority, and who to assign it to.

  4. Tap Save to create the task.
