Troubleshooting when the Room Status in Sweeply does not match the actual Room Status

The most common situations are the following:

1) Manual room status change happens on the same day, before an automatic event (check-out)

The check-out event is synchronized from the PMS. Once Sweeply receives it, the room is normally marked as Dirty. However, this process can be interrupted by a manual status change made in Sweeply before the check-out occurs.

The most common example is when someone manually marks a room as Clean early in the morning (for example, at 3:00 AM), and the check-out then happens later the same day (for example, at 11:00 AM). In this case, the check-out will not mark the room as Dirty, because the manual change happened earlier that day and takes precedence.

2) Check-out reaches Sweeply the following day

Booking A:

• Check-in: 11th

• Check-out: 12th

Next booking (Booking B):

• Check-in: 13th

• Check-out: 14th

If Booking A was not checked out on the 12th, but housekeeping cleaned the room on the 12th, the room would be marked as Clean. If Booking A is then checked out after housekeeping has already cleaned the room, the room may be marked back to Dirty.

Cleaning tracked using Start and Stop is considered an automatic action, and it can be overwritten by another manual action, such as a late check-out coming from the PMS.

This behavior explains why room statuses may sometimes appear inconsistent when manual changes, housekeeping actions, and PMS events occur on different days or in an unexpected order.
