Guest Connect Set-up

The Guest Connect feature allows hotel guests to send housekeeping service requests and report maintenance issues directly from their Guest Page. This guide explains how to enable and configure these options from your Sweeply account.

This guide shows how to enable and configure Guest Connect options from your Sweeply account.

⚙️ Accessing the setup page

  1. Go to Settings in the Sweeply sidebar.

  2. Select Account.

  3. Open the Guest Page tab at the top.

Here you'll find the options for enabling guest service requests and maintenance reports. Note: you must contact support@getsweeply.com to have this enabled for your account.

🧹 Enable guest service requests

This section defines what services guests can request through their Guest Page.

Steps:

  1. Tick Enable guest service requests.

  2. Under Choose input type, select how guests submit requests — an option list or a free-text field.

  3. Add specific request options (e.g. Fresh towels, New slippers).

  4. Select the categories to automatically assign to these requests — in this example, the "housekeeping" sub-category from the "HSK" category.

📝 Once enabled, guests can submit requests from the Guest Page, and Sweeply automatically creates a task with the sub-category, notifying whoever is subscribed to it.

🔧 Enable guest maintenance reporting

This lets guests report room issues (e.g. broken light, leaking tap) from the same Guest Page.

Steps:

  1. Tick Enable guest maintenance reporting.

  2. As with service requests, predefine which categories these issues are assigned to (e.g. maintenance, AC issue, pipes issue, light issue).

🛠️ When a guest reports an issue, Sweeply automatically creates an entry in the Issues tab and assigns it to the relevant category or team.

⚙️ Optional customizations

Beyond the standard setup, Guest Connect offers extra options:

Custom descriptive text — add a text block to the Guest Page, such as a welcome message or housekeeping instructions.

Cleaning schedule visibility — let guests view their cleaning schedule without being able to change it, for transparency while you keep control.

Cutoff time — prevent guests from changing the cleaning schedule after a set hour each day (e.g. after 10:00 AM).

To enable any of these customizations — or request one that isn't listed — contact our support team at support@getsweeply.com.
