Troubleshooting login issues for a new user

If a new user can't log in after being added to Sweeply, work through these steps.

1. Check their account details

Make sure the user is signing in with exactly the details their account was set up with:

  • Phone number — including the correct country code.

  • Email address — if they're using email sign-in.

2. Resend a fresh code or magic link

Sweeply sign-in is passwordless. Have the user request a new one-time verification code (by SMS or email) or a fresh magic link (sent to their email), and use the most recent one. Codes and links expire, so an old one won't work.

3. Try the other sign-in method

  • Switch between phone and email — if the SMS code isn't arriving, have them use email sign-in instead (or vice-versa).

  • Check spam for the email code or magic link, and confirm the SMS is going to the registered number.

4. Still stuck? Escalate

  • Note any error message the user sees.

  • Confirm the user was actually added to the organization (a person must be invited before they can sign in).
