Precondition: Hotel is using Sweeply with the opt-in feature turned on

Using Sweeply to manage your optional housekeeping policy requires your reception to register which dates the guests want to do housekeeping.

To do this you must open the unit in Sweeply and scroll down to the "Cleaning Schedule" section.

Cleaning Schedule

The "Cleaning Schedule" for a reservation is available through the Housekeeping dashboard. To review a cleaning schedule you must click the unit the guest occupies and scroll down until you see the "Cleaning Schedule" section.

It will look something like this:

This will show the cleaning schedule for the reservation in question where the default is "No cleaning". This is because you are using the opt-in housekeeping policy.

The cleaning schedule shows a circle with a date for day of the guests reservation. The circles can then have different colors:

Green 🟢: represents a check-in and is non configurable

Purple 🟣: represents the checkout data and is also not configurable

Turquoise 🐬: represent "No cleaning service" for the day in question

Pink 🌸: represent that a guest as requested housekeeping services for that specific day.

Registering the dates the guest has requested

When you are checking in a guest you must first explain the opt-in policy set forth by the hotel. Then you will proceed to ask him if he wants to request housekeeping for any of the days he is staying.

If the guest says he doesn't want to have any housekeeping during the stay you don't have to do anything.

If however the guest requests any days where they want housekeeping you must open the cleaning schedule in Sweeply for the unit the guest is staying in and press the day circles where the guest wants to have housekeeping. When you click the circle days they will change color and become pink which means the guest has requested service for this day.

FAQ

I made a mistake and clicked the wrong date, what do I do?

You can simply press the circled day button again and it will change back to "No cleaning".

The guest changes it's mind mid stay, can I change the cleaning schedule?

The cleaning schedule can be modified anytime so you can always revisit it and change it should the guest want to.
