Sweeply delivers most mobile app updates directly inside the app, so you usually don't need to visit the App Store or Google Play. When a new version is ready, you install it from the Settings screen in a couple of taps.
How to tell an update is waiting
A small red dot appears on the gear icon in the header of the My Tasks tab. That dot means a new version is available for your device.
Install the update
Open Sweeply and go to the My Tasks tab.
Tap the gear icon in the top right of the header to open Settings.
Tap Download update. It also carries a red dot when a new version is available.
Keep the app open while it downloads. It takes a few seconds and then reloads on its own.
Check which version you are on
The version number is shown at the bottom right of the Settings screen, next to the language switcher. After the app reloads, open Settings again and confirm the number has changed and that the red dot is gone.
If the update doesn't install
Check your connection. The update downloads over Wi-Fi or mobile data, so the device needs to be online.
Close the app fully and reopen it. Then go back to Settings and tap Download update again.
No red dot? You are already on the latest version and there is nothing to install.
Still on the old version? Some larger releases need a full app install. Open the App Store (iPhone or iPad) or Google Play (Android), update Sweeply there, then reopen the app.
Tip for managers
When we announce a new release, ask your team to check the gear icon at the start of their next shift. Everyone running the same version keeps statuses, tasks, and checklists behaving consistently across the team.
If the update still won't install after trying the steps above, start a chat with us from the Help Center and tell us the version number shown in Settings and the type of device you are using.
