Overview
Hospitality teams are multilingual by nature. A task written in Spanish, a note left in Polish, a report filled out in German, it all ends up in the same place. With Inline Translation, Sweeply automatically translates user-generated content into your preferred language, right where you read it. No switching apps, no copy-pasting, no confusion.
This applies to all user-generated content across Sweeply, including tasks and task descriptions, notes and daily comments, issues and issue descriptions, and reports.
Step 1: Set Your Preferred Language
Before translations appear, make sure your preferred language is set. On the left side of the screen, below Settings, select your language. From there, you can also turn UGC Translation on or off.
🔵 Blue means translation is off
🔴 Red means translation is on
✅ Tip: Each team member sets their own preferred language independently, so everyone sees content in the language that works best for them.
Step 2: How Translations Work
Once your preferred language is set, Sweeply does the rest automatically. When you open a task, note, issue, or report written in a different language, Sweeply:
Detects the original language automatically
Translates it in-place into your preferred language, no extra steps needed
Shows the translated version by default so you can read and act on it immediately
How to Enable Translation on Mobile
Open the Sweeply mobile app and go to My Tasks
Tap Settings in the top right corner
Toggle Screen Translation Mode to turn translation on or off
Tips for Best Results
Write clearly — short, clear sentences translate more accurately than long, complex ones
Avoid abbreviations or internal shorthand that might not translate well across languages
Each team member should set their own preferred language in their profile for the best experience
